flynas, the Saudi national air carrier and the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, has announced joining the International Airlines Technical Pool (IATP) Organization, an international convention of airlines sharing technical resources and providing operational safety services.

IATP is mandated with enhancing the technical aspects of take-off operations and generating economic savings, which comes in line with flynas’ business strategy. Through its membership, flynas will also benefit from facilitated communications with global aviation sector leaders.

In this regard, flynas stated that it has designed a comprehensive and methodological system to manage organizational safety and quality, as well as monitor all safety-related issues to rectify as they emerge. This approach supports flynas’ commitment towards developing its offerings and internal operations to guarantee top level safety and security.

flynas also reiterated the significance of its IATP membership which will provide an array of benefits including access to spare parts and emergency maintenance services in external locations. IATP seeks to warrant airline operations in external airports through providing technical support, maintenance, and inspection services for aircraft before and during flights, in addition to contracting with relevant entities as needed and providing equipment for aircraft recovery services.

Moreover, IATP seeks to facilitate spare parts pool operations in emergency situations which will coordinate work between airlines and aircraft maintenance companies to facilitate flights and ensure the necessary technical support is provided to airlines throughout the world’s airports. The organization currently boasts 114 international member airlines, 36 international spare parts companies, as well as a number of aircraft manufacturers.
