Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – January 21, 2024:

flynas, the Saudi air carrier and the leading airline in the Middle East and the world, announced opening the application for the "Future Pilots" Program for Saudi men and women for the current year 2024, with the aim of raising the localization rate of the Captain Pilot position after the company has successfully made the Co-pilot position 100% filled by Saudis.

Since its establishment in 2007, flynas has committed itself to launching the Future Pilots program as a strategic step that affirms the Saudi national carrier's dependence on ambitious Saudi youth to create a new generation of sons and daughters of the nation qualified to work as pilots. The program is characterized by a combination of theoretical and practical study as well as actual training to fly aircraft. After finishing the training program, the graduate will be able to work as a co-pilot for flynas. With about 300 co-pilots graduating so far, the program aims to increase the number of graduates within the coming years.

The Future Pilots program contributed to localizing the co-pilot position in flynas by 100%, to be the first program of its kind in the Middle East to achieve its localization goals. Opening applications for a new batch of applicants comes after flynas announced its intention to increase the purchase orders to 250 new aircraft, a move expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the fields of stewardship, dispatching, maintenance, ground services, and more.

The new applicants should pass the English language proficiency test, have a minimum total flight time of 240 hours (215 hours for Single Engine and 25 hours for Multi Engine), hold GACA or ICAO equivalent Multi-Engine Land CPL/IR pilot certificate, and have a valid GACA first-class medical certificate. The last day to apply is February 26, 2024, through the link: cadetpilot.flynas.com.
