flynas, the leading low-cost airline in the world and the best LCC in the Middle East, celebrated the launch of its first direct flights between Jeddah and Aleppo, Syria, during a ceremony held at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on September 2, in the presence of representatives from flynas and Jeddah Airports Company.

The launch ceremony included welcoming passengers aboard the inaugural flight with gifts, marking the start of the new service, through which flynas operates two direct weekly flights between Jeddah and Aleppo, enhancing travel options between the two cities and supporting passenger movement between the two countries.

The addition of the Jeddah-Aleppo route is part of flynas’ growth and expansion strategy, “We Connect the World to the Kingdom”, reflecting the carrier’s commitment to expanding its international destination network and strengthening the Kingdom’s air connectivity with markets around the world, in line with the objectives of the National Civil Aviation Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.

With the launch of the new flights, flynas continues to expand its presence in the Syrian market, currently operating 14 direct weekly flights between Riyadh and Damascus, at a frequency of two flights per day, seven weekly flights between Jeddah and Damascus, at a frequency of one direct flight per day, in addition to three direct weekly flights between Dammam and Damascus and two weekly flights between Riyadh and Aleppo.

The flight network between Saudi Arabia and Syria contributes to enhancing travel and air connectivity between the two countries, while supporting the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global aviation and travel hub, connecting the Kingdom with 250 international destinations, accommodating 330 million passengers, and welcoming 150 million tourists annually by 2030.
