Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - August 11, 2026:

flynas, the leading low-cost airline in the world and the best LCC in the Middle East, has announced the launch of new direct flights between Jeddah and Aleppo in Syria, starting August 21, as part of the airline’s international network expansion, in line with national objectives for the tourism and aviation sectors and Saudi Vision 2030.

flynas will operate two direct weekly flights between Jeddah and Aleppo, offering travelers greater flexibility and strengthening air connectivity between the two brotherly countries. The new route comes as part of the airline’s expansion in the Syrian market, after becoming the first Saudi airline to resume flights to Damascus in June last year.

The two weekly flights will bring the total number of weekly flights and routes operated by flynas between Saudi Arabia and Syria to 28, as the airline also is operating 14 weekly flights between Riyadh and the Syrian capital, Damascus, at a frequency of two flights per day, in addition to seven weekly flights between Jeddah and Damascus, with one direct flight per day, three weekly direct flights between Dammam and Damascus, and two weekly flights between Riyadh and Aleppo.

The addition of direct flights between Jeddah and Aleppo is in line with flynas growth and expansion plan, launched under the title “We Connect the World to the Kingdom”, and in parallel with the objectives of the National Civil Aviation Strategy to enable national air carriers to contribute to connecting KSA with 250 International destinations and to accommodate 330 million passengers and to host 150 million tourists yearly by 2030, and the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques.
