Packing for Stress-Free Travel
Travel Without the Stress: How flynas Makes Packing Easier
Stress is the last thing any of us want to pack when traveling!
What’s worse than going through check-in and being informed your baggage is overweight? Or, your carry-on, with valuable and fragile items, must be checked?
We realise only too well how baggage issues increase travel stress. In this guide, we look at the different flynas baggage allowances so that you can avoid unpleasant and costly surprises at check-in.
If you want to get away this summer, remember to check out our excellent flight deals to a wide variety of fantastic domestic and international destinations.
Packing for a Stress-Free Flight
Vacations are exciting, but wondering what to pack coupled with the anxiety of forgetting things can be a nightmare.
Whether you’re breaking away for a weekend or going on a long overseas vacation, our clear size and weight guidelines help you to plan and pack for any trip. We even make provision for those bulky golf bags, baby strollers, cellos, and more!
Cabin Babbage
Most of us prefer to keep our valuables and essentials close. We pack these items in our cabin (carry-on) bags.
To avoid paying extra, ensure your bag weighs no more than 7kg and that it complies with the prescribed cabin baggage dimensions.
Carry-on essentials for flynas include toiletries, but the containers must be no bigger than 100ml. Plus, these must be in a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag in case of spills. The 100ml-restriction does not apply to baby food and medicine.
Checked Baggage
Your checked baggage goes into the hold of the plane, and you don’t have access to it during the flight.
For safety and practical reasons, you must ensure your suitcases or bags don’t exceed the requirements. No bag should weigh more than 32kg. Keep in mind that baggage sizes and weights depend on fare types and destinations.
We recommend packing your fragile and valuable items in your cabin bag. Familiarise yourself with the restricted items not allowed on flights to avoid hiccups.
With us, you can add extra baggage for a small fee. But, don’t take extra bags without prior arrangement. There’s no guarantee these would be allowed on the flight.
Battery Declarations
Because batteries present a fire risk, you must declare them when checking in. These include any spares you’ve packed. Remember to declare the batteries used in wheelchairs and similar aids.
Sports Equipment
At flynas, we know that for many, a holiday is the ideal time to enjoy their favourite sports. That’s why, when flying with us, you can absolutely travel with your equipment.
We make allowances for everything from bicycles to fishing rods. Check out our specifications for sports equipment to make the necessary preparations.
Fragile or Oversized Items
Worrying about how you’re going to get large or fragile items to your destination? Don’t stress! Simply access our cargo services and submit your request online.
Strollers
Family travel packing can be stressful. With flynas, you can travel with your infant stroller without any additional charge. At check-in, we’ll tag it and store it in the hold when you board.
Pets
Want to take the whole family on vacation? We not only welcome your small pets on board, but they can even fly in the cabin with you! Take a look at our animal-transport requirements and get your furry or feathered friend ready for the flight.
Following these guidelines reduces the stress associated with packing and traveling. You can also explore our stress-free travel hacks to prepare for your trip.
FAQs
Our guests may take one bag and one small personal bag (laptop bag or handbag, for example) with them in the cabin.
This depends on your fare. Light fares are allowed one 20kg or one 30kg bag, depending on the destination. Plus fares allow either one 30kg bag or two 20kg bags, and premium-class fares allow two 23kg bags for all destinations.
You can make arrangements for all sorts of sports equipment, musical instruments, mobility aids like wheelchairs, baby strollers, and more.
