Visit comprised senior executives from the Group congratulating HRH on his New Post

Riyadh, May 2014: HRH Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh received in his office key executives from NAS Holding who visited HRH and congratulated him on the Royal confidence appointing him Governor of Riyadh.

During the visit, HRH received a commemorative plaque from flynas and a special airplane model presented by Sulaiman Al Hamdan, CEO of NAS Holding who headed the visiting delegation.  From his end, HRH thanked the visiting delegation while at the same time highlighting the role of flynas as a national carrier that is a major contributor of air transport inside and outside the Kingdom.

In addition to the NAS Holding CEO, the visiting NAS Group delegation included Saad bin Saleh Al Azwari CEO of NasJet for Private Aviation and Wael Al Sarhan Director of Marketing and Communication at NAS Holding.

This visit represents an important milestone for the Group, having a low cost carrier that is making huge strides in the Low Cost Carrier + industry, headquartered in Saudi Arabia and having a fleet of 27 aircraft flying to 26 destinations inside and outside the Kingdom via 950 weekly flights.

flynas revealed its new identity this year and has made significant investments to upgrade its fleet and launched business class.  The national carrier is getting ready to operate its first flight from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Cairo International Airport on the first of June this year expanding its reach to 7 destinations into Egypt.

flynas is a leading low-cost carrier with added value (Low Cost Carrier Plus) from Saudi Arabia with a young fleet of 27 aircraft, operating nearly 950 weekly flights on 26 destinations within and outside of Saudi Arabia. Launched in 2007, flynas has successfully operated over 140,000 flights carrying more than 15 million passengers, a number that has steadily grown over the years.

flynas unveiled a new modern identity in 2013 and made significant investments in enhancing its aircraft fleet and introducing a dedicated Business Class Cabin.

In 2014, flynas has launched and pioneered the Low Cost Carrier Plus (LCC+) concept that allows the carrier to offer its passengers value-added, services-driven, yet affordable international air travel on both Business Class and Economy Class, as part of its Global Flight Routes program. This program will drive the future growth of flynas, as it expands its presence on three continents – Asia, Africa and Europe.

In 2013, flynas carried 3.3 million passengers; its highest ever since launch.
