FLYNAS WINS THREE CMO ASIA GOLDEN AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN BRANDING AND MARKETING
09 AUG 2014The marketing department of flynas, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, has won three CMO Asia Golden Awards for excellence in branding and marketing.
The winners were announced at a presentation ceremony held in Singapore on 31st July 2014 in the presence of leaders of the global aviation industry and other commercial and industrial sectors.
flynas marketing was honoured with the awards in three categories: Brand Revitalization, Effective Use of Marketing Communication, and Marketing Campaign of the Year.
Commenting on this outstanding achievement, Mr. Raja Azmi, CEO of flynas, said: “These three awards truly recognize the success of our recent rebranding and the excellence of our marketing team in promoting the flynas brand and communicating our messages to our target audiences, and I would like to thank flynas Marketing Team for their continuous efforts which contributed to flynas achieving international recognition and winning these coveted awards. The criteria for the CMO Asia Awards used a very accurate evaluation process which focused on brand quality, familiarity, availability and consumer preferences.
The criteria for the Brand Revitalization award were; Successful rebranding and launching a new modern identity which gained a very high popularity during a short period of time. For the Effective use of Marketing Communication Award the criteria were: Successful interaction with the public through many different activities including exhibitions, trade and social events, conferences and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes. flynas had an outstanding presence in all activities which resulted in excellent public relations regionally and internationally.
flynas won the third award, Marketing Campaign of the Year, for its "Buy a Ticket, Get One Free" campaign which was launched in 2013 and achieved outstanding results. This is second time this hugely successful campaign has won an award.
flynas unveiled its new modern identity in 2013 and made significant investments in order to enhance its aircraft fleet, such as introducing a dedicated Business Class Cabin. This is a crucial element of its 20X20 strategy, which is targeting the goal of 20 million passengers by 2020.
