After flying to Tabuk & Hail during Saudi National Day, Al-Qassim has been added as the latest flynas destination

Riyadh, October 2014: flynas, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, commenced flights to its newest destination with the inaugural flight from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Airport in Al-Qassim. The once daily route opened on October 1st 2014, following the launch of a number of domestic flights which coincided with the 84th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

flynas aircraft at Qassim was greeted by Mr. Mohammed Al-Mujlad, Director General of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Airport, and Mr. Abdulilah Al-Eidi, Director of Ground Operations at flynas, who commented on the newest addition to flynas domestic destinations, saying: "We would like to extend our thanks to the management of Al-Qassim Airport for their support and cooperation which has facilitated all operational procedures and enabled everything to go so smoothly, allowing us to focus our attention on providing our guests with the highest levels of service for which flynas is renowned.”

Also commenting, Mr. Wael Al-Sarhan, Director of Marketing and Communications at NAS Holding, stated: “flynas continues to add more domestic destinations in order to enhance its competitive position in the domestic Air Transport market, which is experiencing significant growth in passenger traffic.  Today, we set off the route between Jeddah and Qassim as an extension of our ongoing efforts to make flynas services available to a wider section of the kingdom’s population.”

He went on to say: “There is high demand for flights to our domestic destinations and our expansion program as is based on flynas’ role as Saudi Arabia’s national carrier and our commitment to provide air transportation solutions services to the public in various regions of the kingdom.”

As part of its 20 × 20 strategy aimed at transporting 20 million passengers a year by 2020, flynas has recently begun to expand its operations both domestically and internationally, and has added multiple additional services for its guests, which include: a business class cabin, pre-ordered hot meals, and increasing the economy class luggage allowance up to 20 kg per passenger, while continuing to provide convenient low cost flights at the most competitive prices.
