flynas receives its fourth Airbus A32neo aircraft


Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, 12th September 2019: flynas, the Saudi national air carrier and leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, announced receiving the fourth aircraft from its 32 billion Saudi riyal deal with Airbus to purchase 120 A320neo aircraft by 2026. The A30neo aircraft is the latest model of its class, and is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that perform at a high efficiency.

On this occasion, the CEO at flynas, Mr. Bandar Al Mohanna described receiving the fourth A320neo aircraft as a milestone towards completing the remarkable aircraft purchase deal signed in 2017, which forms the second largest aircraft purchase deal in the region and encompasses adding 120 A320neo aircraft to flynas’ growing fleet.

Al Mohanna also highlighted flynas’ expansion strategy aiming to keep up with advancements within the modern aircraft industry and contribute to the Saudi aviation industry, in addition to fulfilling the airline’s growing operational needs and increased demand following its newly announced destinations. He added that flynas is preparing to reveal additional new destinations in the near future.

flynas had recently announced its expansion strategy for the coming phase by announcing new destinations which will contribute towards doubling its number of passengers, which reached 6.6 passengers last year on 60 thousand domestic and international trips. flynas’ newly added domestic destinations include Abha, Madinah, Al Ahsa, Jeddah, Dammam, and Al Qaisoma, while its international destinations announced this summer include Tbilisi, Batumi, Baku, Sarajevo, Vienna, Islamabad, Algeria, Irbil, Baghdad, and Lahore.
