Riyadh, November 2014:
flynas, the Saudi National Carrier, recognized the promising young Arab tennis champion Saud AHaqbani during a special ceremony held by the Saudi Federation of Tennis in King Fahd Hall at the Holiday Inn Palace Hotel in Riyadh.

Saud, who competes in the under 12 years of age group, was given an open air ticket from flynas in order to honor him and encourage him to maintain the GCC title for the third year in the upcoming championship tournament that will be held next week in Bahrain.

Speaking at the event, Yazeed AlRasheed, Brand Manager at flynas said “We are proud of the accomplishments achieved by this young national hero. In our capacity as the Saudi National Carrier we honor all Saudis who raise our flag high in regional and international events and we hope this recognition will encourage him to achieve greatness on all levels.”

The promising young star Saud AlHaqbani won the Arab Cup for the second time in individual and team categories, an unprecedented achievement that raised Saudi hopes that he will earn more wins in the future. Previously, AlHaqbani succeeded in leading the Saudi team under 11 years of age in the GCC Championship and has not lost any title since 2012.

That year, AlHaqbani led the Saudi Team under 12 years of age to win the Arab Cup and in 2014 was awarded the gold medal for the first time in the history of the championship. He also earned titles at a number of international events, the most recent being this year when he won the Barcelona Championship in the under 14 years of age group.

AlRasheed concluded his comments by saying:  “This recognition comes part of flynas’s commitment to honor Saudi talents in all fields, who achieve greatness in their lives and raise our flag higher. We will continue to support our distinguished young talents as part of our many CSR initiatives that contribute to the welfare of the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
