Adding a sixth destination to its expanding network in Egypt starting from 27 January
Riyadh, January 2014: flynas, Saudi Arabia’s National Carrier, is continuing its expansion plan with the launch of two weekly flights from Jeddah to Aswan starting from 27 January 2014.
Aswan will be a new destination in flynas’s expanding network, one of the key markets for the airline due to the increasing transport demand between Saudi Arabia and Egypt with the large economic ties between both countries.
“The service connecting Aswan and Jeddah is an integral part of our ambitious plan to expand our network in Egypt, and we hope to announce another major destination in Egypt in the near future to be added to our comprehensive network in this country.” Mr. Raja Azmi, CEO of flynas commented.
flynas operates to five destinations to Egypt including; Alexandria, Assiut, Sohag, Luxor and Sharm Elshiekh and now to Aswan which will provide more comfortable solutions to the Egyptian residents in Saudi Arabia by having direct flights to the southern province in Egypt, in addition to facilitating the Egyptian religious visits to the Holly places in the Kingdom.

Since its launch in 2007, flynas has carried more than 15 million passengers on 140,000 flights, with the highest rate of passengers growth recorded in 2013 by carrying 3.3 million passengers and launching variety of services along with a new modern identity. flynas has a young fleet consisting of 19 aircraft with Business and Economy class services. The recent services development has given flynas the capability for further growth as the airline continues to expand by adding more and more key destinations to its local, regional and international route map.
