• flynas adds Airbus A330 Aircrafts to its’ Growing fleet
• Global Flight Routes to cover destinations in three continents namely Europe, South East Asia and Africa
Jeddah, February 3, 2014: Saudi Arabian national carrier flynas today announced the launch of its Global Flight Routes program starting from April 2014, with operating flights from Jeddah to Europe, South East Asia and North Africa.
The announcement was made at a flynas press conference held on 3rd of February 2014 which is a day ahead of the carrier’s participation at the Jeddah International Travel and Tourism Exhibition at the Convention Centre Hilton Jeddah.
flynas’ Global Flight Routes program will offer regional travelers access to affordable, high-value international air travel to three continents, namely Europe, Asia and Africa. All of flynas’ international flights will operate out of its hub in Jeddah.
The new Global destinations includes, London Gatwick and Manchester in UK, Paris in France; Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Jakarta in Indonesia and Casablanca in Morocco.
“flynas is expanding its horizons to operate as a truly international carrier with the launch of our Global Flight Routes program. The expansion of our flight routes to cover long-haul destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa is a key element of our strategy to lead the airline into a new chapter of aggressive growth,” said Raja Azmi, CEO, flynas.
“We have made significant recent investments in enhancing our fleet with the acquisition of Airbus A330 aircrafts and upgrading our in-flight offering to include a 12-seat Business Class Cabin. In addition, we have upgraded to a highly customer-centric model of service for our Economy Class passengers, making high value affordable air travel accessible to all,” Mr. Azmi added.
Business Class passengers will be able to enjoy an incredibly comfortable inflight experience with a seat pitch of 60” inch and a reclinable full flat-bed, in addition to a hot meal service and unlimited hot and cold drinks. Business class passengers will also enjoy comfort-boosting services such as Lounge Access and Fast Track services, complimentary “Comfort Pack, inflight entertainment as well as individual iPad entertainment, newspapers, generous hold luggage allowance (2 pieces x 30kg) and flexible flight booking and rescheduling options.
Economy Class passengers will enjoy a high-value service at highly affordable prices, with seats offering 32” inch of seat pitch, in-flight entertainment, buy-on-board meals (with the ability to pre-order preferred meal options), flexible fares that include a hold baggage allowance of 30kg, ability to pre-buy privileges such as lounge access, excess baggage, ground transport and comfort pack, and buy extra on-board in-flight entertainment.

The announcement of flynas’ expansion is expected to be of great interest at the exhibition, the Kingdom’s leading platform for both local and international travel and tourism organizations to collaborate and discuss domestic, inbound and outbound tourism.
Since its launch in 2007, flynas has carried more than 15 million passengers on 140,000 flights, with the highest rate of passengers growth recorded in 2013 by carrying 3.3 Million Passengers and launching variety of services along with a new modern identity. flynas has a young fleet consists of 27 aircrafts with Business and Economy class services. The recent Services development in flynas has given the capability for further growth as the airline continues to expand by adding more and more key destinations to its local, regional and international route map.
