FLYNAS WELCOMES 95 APPLICANTS FOR “FUTURE PILOTS PROGRAM”





Riyadh, October 2014: flynas, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has conducted admission tests for candidates to join the airline’s Pilot Cadet Program called “Future Pilots”. 95 candidates attended the tests, which were held at the Makarim Hotel in Riyadh on October 21st 2014.

flynas “Future Pilots” is designed to attract Saudi talents to join the aviation sector and opens up prestigious career opportunities for them.

Captain Mansour Al Harbi, Executive Director of Flight operations at flynas, expressed his delight and pride in the candidates joining the program, saying: “At flynas we are keen to provide excellent training and employment opportunities for ambitious young Saudis and the ‘Future Pilots’ program will enable us to achieve our Saudization targets in accordance with the company's vision for Saudi nationals to contribute to the renaissance of our society and to actively participate in the progress of our beloved Kingdom.”

Captain Mansour went on to point out that  52 young Saudis have already joined the program since it was launched, which aspires to graduate 100 first officers over the next few years, adding that the program consists of theoretical and practical courses together with multiple tests, followed by the graduation of the trainees who pass its requirements. The graduates receive certificates approved by the Kingdom’s Civil Aviation Authority and then go on to receive advanced training in the best local and international academic and aviation Institutions.

Qualifications for admission to the ‘Future Pilots’ program require that the applicant is a Saudi citizen and holds at least a high school diploma, in addition to other detailed conditions related to age and health.

The candidates who successfully applied for admission to the program had previously submitted the required documents through the procedures described on the flynas website www.flynas.com.

As part of its 20 × 20 strategy aimed at transporting 20 million passengers a year by 2020, flynas is increasing the size of its fleet and has recently begun to expand its operations both domestically and internationally.
