FLYNAS AND IATA ORGANIZE FATIGUE RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROGRAM FOR PILOTS AND FLIGHT ATTENDANTS


flynas, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) organized a training program to enhance Fatigue risk management among pilots and flight attendants and instruct the methods to prevent risks occurring, thus ensuring safety of operations.



Riyadh, November 2014:  The program is designed to complement the flynas safety systems program, which was inaugurated several years ago to ensure the airline maintains the aviation industry’s highest levels of safety. The stress risk management program is one of the GACA’s requirements and all airlines operating in the Saudi market and internationally will be asked to fully implement this program by 2015.

The three-day program included a number of workshops and was attended by flynas senior executives and 36 employees from the relevant administrations.

Commenting, Captain Mansour Al Harbi, Executive Director of Flight Operations  at flynas, stated that the airline is committed to consolidating awareness of Fatigue and stress related risks and the methods used to prevent them in all administrative and operational systems, pointing out that the program will contribute to the continued safety of operations and enhance flynas’s impressive safety record.
