flynas App Well Received by Travelers


Initial download exceeded 100,000 since it was launched earlier this month and an advanced version of the app is in preparation




Riyadh, December 2014: flynas, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has revealed that more than 100,000 guests have downloaded the initial version of the Aviation Services application for mobiles (iPhone - Android) in less than a month since its launch to benefit from the advanced features offered.  

The flynas smartphone app was launched during the Arabnet Conference, which specializes in technology, accompanied by a brief presentation on the benefits and services offered to users of the application.

Commenting, Wael Al-Sarhan, Director of Marketing and Communications at NAS Holding, expressed his happiness with the high level of demand from passengers taking advantage of the application, saying: "The numbers reveal the success of our new application, which was downloaded more than 100,000 times during the month of its launch. Using the app, more than 3,000 payment procedures have been registered and over 1,000 boarding tickets issued. In addition, there were more than 10,000 new registrations, which certainly is an indication of how the application has made our services easier for flynas guests."

To mark the launch of the app, flynas announced the flynas Application Contest through Twitter and Instagram, offering five winners over five weeks the opportunity to win an iPad mini when booking their trips through flynas or following flynas on the Instagram account. Yazeed Al-Rasheed, Brand Manager at flynas, congratulated the first winner, Mohammed Al-Hamoud, who won the flynas application Twitter contest.

Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Chief Information Officer at NAS Holding, stated: "The application, which is one of the technical initiatives adopted by flynas in light of the widespread use of smart devices, received an immediate welcome from our guests, who quickly identified and started using the multiple services offered to them. We are very pleased about the large number of guests who have registered for the application and explored its features. The people who have made their travel plans using the app have saved time and effort by making flight reservations and obtaining boarding cards without the need to visit a travel agent."

Al-Ghanim added that flynas is constantly working in developing the app and will add more services in upcoming versions and updates.
