Raja Azmi

Chief Executive Officer - flynas

Eminent aviation industry expert Raja Azmi moved into his role as Chief Executive Officer of flynas in 2013, bringing with him a successful track record of redefining the low-cost aviation landscape in his home region of South East Asia.

The Malaysian national was part of the launch team of AirAsia Berhad in 2001, where he served as Executive Vice-President and Group Chief Financial Officer, responsible for finance and accounting, information technology, human resourcing and revenue management of the airline. Azmi was subsequently appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Fly Asian Xpress, now known as AirAsia X, where he ran the turbo prop rural air services and was tasked with setting up a low-cost long-haul airline, a position he held until June 2007.

Azmi brings a dynamic background of business experience in the fields of finance, aviation, property development and construction, facilities management and oil and gas, developed over a career marked by entrepreneurial excellence.

At flynas Azmi has successfully achieved maximum route profitability and increased revenue, as well as overseeing an expansion in the flynas fleet which led to flynas enjoying a significantly larger domestic presence.

Azmi is a graduate from the London School of Accountancy, United Kingdom, and received a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (then known as Institute of Cost and Management Accountants) qualification in 1982.

Sulaiman Al-Hamdan

Chief Executive Officer - NAS Holding

Sulaiman Al-Hamdan brings an enviable mix of deep local knowledge and a broad international outlook to his role as CEO of Nas Holding.

A Saudi National, Al-Hamdan is one of the Kingdom’s most respected senior executives, having built a long career in the country’s banking sector. Al-Hamdan was the former Deputy Managing Director of the major Saudi banking giant, Saudi British Bank (SABB), where he was responsible for all customer facing departments, including Corporate and Commercial Banking, private banking, brand network and institutional banking.

Al-Hamdan previous work with the Saudi Fund for Development and success with the HR and Personal Banking arms at SABB have ensured an approach that is well grounded in local realities while being shaped by a worldly, cosmopolitan vision, making him the perfect man to transform Nas Holding into a modern and globally competitive aviation company.

Al-Hamdan moved into his current role as CEO of NAS Holding in 2008, and has led the company through a defining period in Saudi aviation history. He has been responsible for merging all subsidiaries flynas, NasJet, NASTECH and NAS Charter Aviation under one umbrella. Al-Hamdan holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration on two majors: Management & Organisation, and Marketing from the University of New Haven, Connecticut, USA.
