Transport To and From the Alexandria Airport

flynas arrives into Terminal 1 at the Burj Al Arab International Airport which is located in Borg El-Arab, 50 kilometres from the city centre. Once you’re on the ground the best modes of transport are taxis, railway, tram, buses and cars for hire.

Taxis are readily available 24 hours a day however agree on your fare before you ride, as meters aren’t always in use.

Buses are also located outside Terminal 1, and leave every 10 minutes between 6am and 10pm. Bus tickets cost 3LE (Egyptian Pound) ($0.50).

The Tram is 0.25LE ($0.03).

Weather in Alexandria

Alexandria doesn’t suffer from the same heat most other Arab cities do with slightly cooler weather over the summer months averaging 27 degrees in August and 13 degrees in January. There is also moderate rain fall throughout the year.
