In a special celebration held in the presence of a GACA Officials, number of Taif Region Officials and an elite of Media Figures
nasair, the Saudi national carrier, celebrated on Monday, February 18, 2013 the launch of its first flight from the Saudi capital, Riyadh to Taif, and it also celebrated the arrival of its first international flight at Taif International airport coming from Kuwait. This step comes in response to the demand of Nasair customers in each of Taif, Riyadh and Kuwait.
On this occasion, nasair held a press conference at Taif airport after the Chief Executive Officer François Bouteiller and the senior officials arrived aboard the first flight coming from Riyadh. nasair CEO and the GM of Operation of domestic airports at GACA, the Director General of Taif airport and airport officials all shared cutting the tart prepared specially for this occasion. Afterwards, they received the passengers of the first flight coming back from Kuwait with gifts and flowers and wished them a pleasant stay in Taif; similarly they bid farewell to those who were leaving on the first flight from Riyadh wishing them a safe and happy flight.
Chief Executive Officer, nasair, Captain François Bouteiller, started the press conference by saying:
“Taif strategic location with its continuous growth of travel demand encouraged nasair to expand its operation to this important part of the kingdom”
He further clarified that he had stressed this point to H.E. the Governor of Taif, Mr. Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Bin Moamer, when he had the honor of meeting him in his office today morning and he sincerely thanked H.E. for continuously supporting nasair and for his endless activities in Taif.
François Bouteiller continued saying:
“Launching the new destination of Taif – Riyadh and Taif – Kuwait is considered as a historic accomplishment in the successful journey of nasair. Since the inception of nasair (7) years ago, the company has achieved a remarkable growth in an exceptional period of time and in fact we could have never accomplished this triumph without the support of our loyal customers all over the years.
François Bouteiller went on saying:
“Launching and operating nasair new airlines - between Taif and Riyadh by four weekly flights, and also Taif – Kuwait by three weekly flights – are considered as the most important destinations launched throughout 2013”.
He also stressed that these destinations shall accomplish huge success according to the actual indicators.
He moreover clarified that the continuity of this success shall be a stimulant for increasing the number of flights to these destinations and that Nasair shall definitely work on activating the leisure traffic between Taif airport and Kuwait.
Captain François took this occasion to extend nasair appreciation to the General authority of Civil Aviation for the great support under the direction of “ H.H Prince Fahad bin Abdullah Al Saud “ that it always provides to nasair. He also thanked Taif airport director general, the airport entire service officials as well as every authority that supported and endorsed the operation of these destinations.
Captain François concluded his press release explaining that since the inception of nasair in (2007) in Saudi Arabia, it had transported more than (10) million passengers. He added that nasair is definitely considered as the pioneering “Smart Airline” with tribute to its essential service values of being punctual, offering competitive fares and providing smart services to the customers. Nasair manages to provide these services through 88 routes within and outside of Saudi Arabia.
